Aware

Raising public awareness on electronic waste as a source of valuable materials.

The aim of the European  AWARE is to create new types of educational materials co-designed with young learners to reach out to their peers and to involve society in planning collection campaigns for end-of-life electronics.

The idea is to engage teachers from primary, secondary and even higher education schools (in Finland) in new learning topics and to distribute information on the circular economy and end-of-life electronics to be developed in new and interesting forms (e.g. games and videos or phenomena based learning). The main target group of the project are school-age children with open minds and an interest in the environment.

The project will involve recycling companies, non-profit associations, municipalities for the organization of awareness campaigns in schools or in society based on feedback from school-age children.
